I identify as an Indigenous Mexican woman — a mother, sister, daughter, firme pareja, and abuela — with roots in Xalisco and Durango. My life and work are deeply guided by the cultural traditions, colors, stories, and medicines that have been rescued and carried forward by my elders, both in California and in Mexico.

I have walked the path of healing through movement, community, and ceremony for decades. As the head of a traditional Aztec dance circle since 1989, I’ve held space for spiritual prayer, cultural preservation, and collective empowerment. These ways of being are not separate from therapy — they are the foundation of how I understand and practice it. I believe therapy is ceremony. It is sacred space for remembering, reconnecting, and reclaiming.

With over 20 years of experience in public health and mental health, I specialize in supporting adults and older teens navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, intergenerational and historical trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety. My work is rooted in a multicultural, holistic lens — honoring the spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental aspects of wellness.

I sit alongside clients with deep reverence, compassion, and truth. My approach draws from client-centered, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, and CBT frameworks, always adapted to the unique needs of each person. As a bilingual and bicultural Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer therapy in both Spanish and English, holding space that is warm, authentic, and real.
