We serve adults and older teens, particularly BIPOC, Xicanx/Latine, queer, and migrant communities who are ready to explore healing that honors both their mental health and their cultural identity. Individual therapy sessions range from $185–$250 per session, depending on the therapist. Sessions with our graduate student intern, Melina, are offered at a reduced fee.

Jesus accepts some major insurance companies and EAP programs including Aetna, Optum/United and Lyra.
Cristina is an out-of-network provider for most insurance plans. If your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, she can provide a monthly superbill (a receipt with the information your insurance needs) for you to submit for potential reimbursement.
We recommend calling the member services number on your insurance card and asking: "Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits, and what is my reimbursement rate for outpatient psychotherapy?"

Yes. We believe cost should not be a barrier to healing. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available. Please contact us to discuss. We will do our best to find something that works.

Yes. We offer secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions via video for clients throughout California. Telehealth sessions are convenient, private, and equally effective for most presentations.
Currently, only Jesus offers in-person sessions in Oakland, CA.

Our practice is guided by ancestral wisdom, decolonial theory, and Indigenous ways of knowing. This means we understand healing not only as individual, but as relational, communal, and intergenerational.
In practice, sessions may incorporate elements like storytelling, dreamwork, ceremony, land-based reflection, and connection to the elements alongside evidence-based modalities like EMDR, somatic therapy, and narrative therapy. These are offered thoughtfully and collaboratively, never imposed.

No. While our practice has deep roots in Indigenous and Xicano/Latine communities and cultural contexts, we welcome all people who feel called to this kind of healing work. Our therapists bring warmth, cultural humility, and an openness to meeting you where you are.

Si. our therapists offer therapy in Spanish, English and Spanglish. We will be translating our website soon.
